Richards-Zeta Building Intelligence,

that they will be collectively represented at the Building
Intelligence Tour (BIT) www.buildingintelligencetour.com
as joint co-sponsors of the educational seminar at a
Platinum level. The Building Intelligence Tour is being
held concurrently with the AHR Expo 2006 www.ahrexpo.com
at which Richards-Zeta is also exhibiting.
Richards-Zeta, Panduit and Cisco,
having jointly exhibited at other industry events throughout
2005, continue to focus on educating the industry to
the fact that IP (Internet Protocol) is the world-wide
standard that will drive the integration of building
systems with traditional Information Technologies (IT)
currently being used by companies universally to operate
their businesses today.
One example of such integration
being pioneered by the companies, is the ability to
link VoIP telephony to building systems via legacy and
other industry “open” protocols such as
BACnet and LonWorks, to provide users with the capability
of controlling environmental conditions HVAC, lighting
etc. This simple, but powerful ability to link these
systems derives substantial operational benefits to
the client, tenants and operations staff alike, including
gains in productivity, energy cost containment and a
sound financial return.
During the Building Intelligence
Tour seminar, the partnership of companies will present
a case use model for a building that will incorporate
a detailed analysis of the energy efficiency improvements,
inflation impacts on future operations, the creation
of new revenue streams and improvements in NOI (Net
Operating Income) and increased Asset Valuation realized
from the deployment of a comprehensive and strategic
IP solutions platform. In addition, the joint sponsorship
will strengthen the recognition of Cisco and Panduit’s
channel partners, and Richards-Zeta’s system integrators
combined core value proposition, defined by the “Building
Intelligence and Infrastructure for Connected Real Estate™”
philosophy embraced by the companies.
In addition to jointly sponsoring
the Building Intelligence Tour, representatives from
the each company will be present in Richards-Zeta’s
AHR Expo booth, along with a display of their respective
technology platforms, to meet with clients, engineers
and other partners to address questions on integration.
The coordinated exhibit will show how to connect to
disparate building systems using Richards-Zeta OMEGA®
platform through the infrastructure of Panduit’s
rack, PoE (Power over Ethernet) patch panel and structured
cabling solutions, to route information using Cisco’s
Catalyst series switches, CallManager® and VOIP
telephony products to a user. The demonstration of a
purely IP centric platform will clearly show how a company
can utilize the IP technologies of today, to manage
the buildings of tomorrow.
Together, the three companies
plan to jointly exhibit at many other conference throughout
2006, and well beyond. The coordinated Platinum sponsorship
between Richards-Zeta, Panduit and Cisco at the AHR
Expo 2006 extends the collaboration announced at the
AHR Expo in February 2005, to promote the adoption of
