RIA Engineer
Richards-Zeta Building Intelligence is the manufacturer of IT-centric
integration products that are used to manage intelligent, networked,
electro-mechanical (HVAC, Lighting, Elec., etc.) systems that
are found in buildings around the world. We are seeking an experienced
RIA Engineer to help design and build the next generation of our
Linux based appliance, using the latest and greatest Web technologies.
Requirements:
• Detailed understanding of Object-Oriented techniques,
design patterns and development approaches, especially as they
relate to ActionScript.
• Ability to design, develop and implement high quality
code in a timely manner.
• Solid experience developing complex, enterprise-level,
web-applications with Adobe Flex.
• Excellent understanding of GUI design – the ideal
candidate will be able to formulate and articulate strong technical
and aesthetic opinions.
Desired Skills:
• BS degree or higher, preferably in CS.
• Minimum of 5 years Web-GUI design and development.
• Solid experience with FLEX, AJAX, HTML and CSS.
• Experience working with Web services such as XML-RPC,
SOAP and other data feeds.
• Python experience a plus.
• Linux experience a plus.

Technical Support Engineer
Richards-Zeta Building Intelligence is the manufacturer of IT-centric

Technical Support Engineer to support our Linux\Python based integration
framework.
Requirements:
• Provide second line technical support of the company’s
products.
• Ability to determine requirements, design and develop
(code) custom solutions of low to moderate complexity for specific
customer engagements.
• Support our services group via the creation of scripts
to automate common configuration tasks.
• Perform functional testing duties, including the generation
of test plans, set-up of test systems and creation of test scripts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
• BS degree in an engineering discipline, or commensurate
experience.
• Solid Linux experience.
• Competent Python programmer.
• Experience with one or more of the following: HTML, JavaScript,
Flex, CSS or similar web technologies.
• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack.
• Basic understanding of XML.
• Experience with BACnet, LONworks, Modbus, or other protocols
that are used to manage building systems is a strong plus.

Electronic Repair Technician
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and Repair returned and / or defective products to
the component level.
Modify/update/rework to current standards, warranty and/or line
returns as needed.
Report on the findings of the troubleshooting efforts.
Assist with technical problems on the production line and test fixture
problems, etc.
Read/follow detailed schematics diagrams and flow charts.
Be familiar with surface mount and through hole components Determine
eligibility of warranty returns for credit or replacement based
on warranty policies.
Oversee final functional testing and calibration of new repaired
products.
Requirements:
Requires the demonstrated ability to read schematic drawings, use
hand tools and basic electronic tools, work with small parts,
follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain quality records.
Ability to perform intricate visual inspection of components and
subassemblies along with patience and attention to detail is essential.
Basic electronics education/training desirable. Soldering skills
required.
Must have previous work experience with electronic repair.
Associates degree preferred.

Linux Administrator
Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and enhance Linux production and development
servers and services. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Install,
upgrade, maintain and test hardware and software. Identify, implement,
and evaluate configuration, process, service, and security improvements.
Effectively communicate and work with internal developers and vendors.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of Linux administration experience. Solid understanding
of Unix operating concepts (files, file systems, processes, service
and log management, cron, users, permissions, I/O, devices, etc.).
Experience managing Bugzilla. Experience managing CVS and Subversion.
Unix security principles, firewalls, Snort and ipchains.
Experience
with tools such as: shells, SSH, make, rpm, rsync, etc.. Python
programming skills a plus. Very strong oral and written communications
skills.
